SECTION 1 – CONTRACT AND QUOTATIONS
- Contract
The agreed final quote represents a written contract for the specified work to be completed at the quoted price. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which PaintWaller Ltd reserves the right to adjust pricing to reflect current material costs. Any verbal agreements must be confirmed in writing.
- Scope of Work
The written quote details the specific tasks requested by the client. PaintWaller Ltd is not liable for any tasks not included in the written quote.
- Condition of Walls and Ceilings
Unless specified otherwise, it is assumed that the underlying plastering is in good condition. Additional repairs, if required, may incur extra charges.
SECTION 2 – CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING
- Notice Period
Clients must notify PaintWaller Ltd in writing at least 7 day before the project start date to cancel services without penalty.
- Cancellation Fees
Cancellations within 7 days of the start date will incur a 15% cancellation fee of the total project cost. Once work has commenced, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply.
- Rescheduling
Rescheduling is acceptable if the new date is within 8 weeks of the original start date.
SECTION 3 – PAYMENT TERMS
- Payment Methods
Payments are accepted by bank transfer or cash. Cheques are not accepted.
- Deposit
A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is fully refundable if cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the scheduled start date. If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the start date, the deposit is non-refundable.
- Final Payment
The remaining balance is due within 7 days of project completion. An £80 administrative fee will be applied to late payments.
- Debt Collection
If payment is not received within the 7-day timeframe, PaintWaller Ltd reserves the right to involve a debt collection agency, adding a 33% service charge to the outstanding balance to cover associated costs.
- Right to Partial Payment
The painter has a full right to request fair compensation for parts of the job that have been completed. Clients are not permitted to withhold payment as a form of guarantee or leverage.
SECTION 4 – COMPLETION AND MATERIALS
- Completion Time
Estimated completion times are guidelines; PaintWaller Ltd will not be held liable for delays.
- Materials
We use high-quality materials as per manufacturer guidelines. PaintWaller Ltd is not responsible for the performance of materials purchased directly by the client.
- Waste Disposal
Unless otherwise agreed, PaintWaller Ltd will consolidate project-related waste (e.g., empty cans) on-site. The client is responsible for final disposal via domestic collection. Removal of waste by PaintWaller Ltd will incur a separate fee.
SECTION 5 – REFUNDS AND WORKMANSHIP
- Refund Policy
Refunds for materials purchased by PaintWaller Ltd will only be issued if they are unused and resellable, subject to a 10% restocking fee. No refunds are issued for completed work once signed off.
- Workmanship Issues
Clients must notify PaintWaller Ltd of any quality concerns within 24 hours of completion to allow for resolution.
- Third-Party Contractors
Clients must allow PaintWaller Ltd to rectify any issues before engaging third-party contractors.
- Force Majeure
Refunds or liability claims will not be issued for delays caused by events outside of our control, such as extreme weather or unforeseen disruptions.
SECTION 6 – SITE REQUIREMENTS AND ACCESS
- Standard Working Hours
Our team typically operates between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM . While our standard shift often begins at 11:00 AM to ensure project efficiency, start times may be adjusted to 9:00 AM based on project requirements . For occupied homes, work will proceed only if the client consents to these hours and a finish time of up to 8:00 PM.
- Property Access
For occupied homes, work will proceed only if the client consents to these working hours. We generally prefer vacant properties to ensure full access without interruption.
- Parking
The client is responsible for providing or arranging a legal parking space. Any costs associated with parking (permits, fees) must be covered by the client.
- Facilities
The client must provide reasonable access to electrical power, running water, and toilet facilities . Failure to provide these may result in delays or additional charges.
- Hazardous Materials
If lead-based paint or other hazardous materials are discovered during preparation, work will be suspended until the area is certified safe by a specialist at the client’s expense.
SECTION 7 – DAMAGES AND SAFETY
- Protection of Items
Clients must remove valuable or fragile items from the work area. PaintWaller Ltd is not responsible for damage to items that were not removed.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Any client or representative on-site during working hours must wear full PPE to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Tools
Use of power tools or paint sprayers may produce noise and require additional workspace .
SECTION 8 – CONDUCT AND FEEDBACK
- Job Interference
Clients are asked to reserve feedback for “Milestone Inspections” (e.g., after initial preparation or after the first full coat) rather than during the early application stages.
- Professional Boundaries
Interactions between the client and the team must remain strictly professional. Personal inquiries or attempts to initiate non-professional relationships are strictly discouraged. PaintWaller Ltd reserves the right to terminate a contract if the working environment becomes unprofessional or uncomfortable.
- Feedback
We value honest feedback. However, we reserve the right to take legal action or report reviews that are false, malicious, or defamatory.
- Review Coercion
Using the threat of a negative review to influence personal disputes, financial negotiations, or non-work-related demands is considered a form of harassment and a breach of these terms. In such cases, PaintWaller Ltd will use all available legal avenues to have such reviews removed and seek damages for reputation harm.
- Disputes
Clients are encouraged to contact us directly to resolve concerns before leaving a public review.
SECTION 9 – DISCOUNTS AND PRIVACY
- Discounts
Applied to labor costs only. Discounts become invalid if the job scope is reduced or payment is withheld.
- Data Privacy:
PaintWaller Ltd does not collect customer data for marketing purposes. Your contact information is used solely for the fulfillment of the contract and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law
